Guided tour of Biarritz: From the lighthouse to the city centre, passing by the Virgin Rock and the casino beach, discover this famous seaside resort through a 2-hour tour. End this morning with a tasting of regional pork products (2€).The journey from the campsite in the Basque Country is by city bus (2€ round trip).

Guided tour of Bayonne: Because Bayonne is not only about festivals, come and discover its history through a visit to its old town, its cathedral and its ramparts. A gourmet break at the Daranatz chocolate factory will also be offered. The journey from the campsite can be made with your own vehicle or by carpooling (free of charge, please allow 1€ for parking).

Guided hike “The mines of Larla”: Head for the inner Basque country to discover the region’s mining past. This 3.5km hike in the middle of the mountains will give you the opportunity to discover a breathtaking landscape. The journey from the campsite can be made with your own vehicle or by carpooling. Guided walk “Sentier du littoral”: 12km of wonderment on a hilly path along the Basque coast. Superb panoramas between the ocean and the mountains and an opportunity to learn more about the Basque Country thanks to the comments of our guide. Depart on foot from the campsite and arrive in the centre of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Return to the campsite by city bus (2€/ticket).

By the day

Immerse yourself in the inland Basque Country! Leave the coast and the beaten track to go inland and discover another facet of the Basque Country.

“Les Aldudes/Saint-Martin-d’Arossa/Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (Garazi)”: Transport by bus from the campsite. We will start with a visit to Pierre Oteiza’s farm, breeder of Basque pigs and producer of Kintoa (Basque ham). We will then have lunch in a traditional family restaurant in the nearby village of Saint-Martin-d’Arossa (aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and coffee). We will end the day with a guided tour of the village of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in France. (50€ per person all included)

“Cambo-les-Bains/Espelette”: Transport by bus from the campsite. We will start the day in Cambo-les-Bains with a guided tour of the Villa Arnaga, Edmond Rostand’s former home, and its Versailles-style garden. We will then go to the Atelier du Piment d’Espelette for a visit of the farm and an atypical lunch which will be the occasion to taste a taloa. We will finish with a visit of the village of Espelette, known for its famous chillies hanging on the facades of the houses (50€ per person all included)

Evening

Cider house evening in Spain! Enjoy a moment out of time by tasting in an atypical setting an excellent rib of beef accompanied by traditional Basque cider. No need to take the car, a bus will take you from the campsite! (50€ per person all included)
